Average Number of School Years Attained

The following map shows the dispersion of adults over 25 and the average number of years they attended school. The average assumes it takes a total of 12 years to complete elementary and high school and 4 years to complete college. This map does not take into account vocational education or education obtained on-the-job. To better understand those qualities, you may want to look at the skill level map provided in our system. To determine the number of people that live in an area you should view the population density map. Sources: US Census Bureau and Synergos Technologies, Inc.
